The Malignant is a search for closure that begins with something as ordinary as a red lipstick left behind. What follows is an unsettling exploration of bipolar behavior, narcissistic patterns, and the complexities of emotional attachment. But the deeper question isn't why someone behaved the way they did. It's why I chose to stay. Through the lens of childhood overcontrol and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), I examine how the patterns we develop to protect ourselves can become the very reasons we remain, compromise, and mistake emotional endurance for love.
