We respect copyright

Authors publishing on PajamaInk sign a rights declaration for every ebook and audiobook, and our team reviews each one before it goes live. If you believe a book, cover, profile or anything else on PajamaInk infringes your copyright, tell us and we will act quickly.

Sending a notice

Use “Report this book” on the book page (choose “Copyright problem”), or email support@pajamaink.com with the subject “Copyright notice”. Under the US Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) your notice should include: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) the copyrighted work you say is infringed; (3) the link to the material on PajamaInk; (4) your name, address, telephone number and email address; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law; and (6) a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Knowingly false claims can make you liable for damages, so please be sure before you send one.

What we do

When we receive a valid notice we take the material off sale and out of public view promptly, tell the author, and pass them your notice. Readers who already bought the book may keep it while the claim is resolved, or we refund them.

Counter-notice

If your book was removed and you believe it was a mistake or you have the rights, email support@pajamaink.com with: your signature; the material removed and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address and telephone number; and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or, outside the US, any district where True Bean Enterprises LLC may be found) and will accept service from the person who sent the notice. We forward it to the complainant and may restore the material after 10 business days unless they tell us they have filed a court action.

Repeat infringers

We close the accounts of authors who repeatedly upload material they don't have the rights to, and withhold payouts for sales of infringing books.
